Mom’s the bomb.

Work out
I did it!!! I ran 4.5 miles in 42:15.  I know this isn’t fast.  Again, I’m just happy I did it.  I’m getting there!  Look out 13.1, here I come!  I got an email today that they are expecting to sell out by the first week of September so if anyone wants to do it…hurry!  I also have a coupon code that will save you $10
When I was younger my brother used to call oatmeal cream pies Mom’s the bombs because he loved them so much.  But after awhile whenever my Mom did something that was especially liked we’d just say she was the bomb.
Tonight’s dinner was definitely Mom’s the bomb worthy!
Baked chicken with carrots and potatoes, an amazing salad and chicken noodle soup!

My brother had his wisdom teeth out today which is why we were eating soup in the summer.  It was too delicious to turn down!

Thennn my Mom and I hit up the ice cream shop.  I had peanut butter cup ice cream.  I shouldn’t have.  Don’t judge me.
Lataaaa.

Veggie Sammie.

Yes that is my lunch.  Yes it was delicious.
I roasted a red peppa on the grill.  If you’ve never tried this, I highly recommend it.  Plus there are no added preservatives or sodium added when you grill it yourself.  I also threw on a couple tomato slices, some shredded mozzarella and homemade pesto.
The only thing that would have made this better would be if it were melted.  Hmm I’ll have to try that!
Anddd some cucumber slices.  That I wish were pickles.  Has anyone ever made their own pickles?!  I really need to give that a whirl.
Work out
Today I am doing 4.5 miles.  I’ve ran more before just not recently.  I’m sure I’ll be fine but increasing distance always makes me a little nervous.
I think it will help that I finally bought another pair of headphones that I love so much!

Nike Vapor headphones are my favorite that I have found so far.  My ears are too little for the regular ear bud kind!
I’ll let you know how my run goes!

Corny berries.

It is amazing how good I feel after a good nights sleep!  I just wish I could actually get myself into bed at a decent time every night.  Seems so simple but I’m bad at it!
I had a corn toaster for breakfast (yum) topped with MaraNatha peanut butter some strawberries and a Fiber One yogurt.  Have you ever tried these yogurts?!  They are so stinkin’ good and 0 Weight Watchers points! (Plus they are Hungry Girl approved).
All on a napkin.  I’m classy, I know.
Here’s to hoping today is a more energized day!
