Fajitas for 2.

I love when my mom makes fajitas :)
She’s the best fajita maker I know!!
In my fajita: grilled chicken, peppers and onions, cheddar cheese, avocado, mushrooms, and a blob of sour cream.
I later added a blob of salsa and felt that I had to document it!
Prior to our delish dinner I ran 5 miles after work.  I was in good running spirits today and finished in 47 minutes.  I was satisfied with this :)
I also spent some time sitting outside tonight.  It is so nice out and although the sun sets at 7:30 :( it was so nice and breezy. Anddd I chatted with both of my best friends, Cate and Kay!
I have 2 exciting dinner dates coming up soon!  It is about to be restaurant week in Philly and I always take advantage of this time of year.  When else can you get such a great deal…usually 3 courses for $30-$35.  Sometimes the restaurant will offer 4 courses!  And you can also dine at lunch for $20-$25.  If you live in the area or are going to be around check it out!  The list is here! I’ll let you know which restaurants I’m dining at as it gets closer :)

I told ya I saved half of my mushroom melt for lunch!
It doesn’t look as good and melty as yesterday but tasty nonetheless.  Plus some green beans on the side.  I just wish I had left some of those pickles for my lunch but I’m a bit of a pickle fiend and have never been good at leaving any behind.
Last night I received an email about our half marathon!  It is quickly approaching in…11 days!  So crazy.  I’m getting excited though and think I’m ready.  Well, I will be when it gets here.  Jay said that we did really well on our run Sunday.  He kept track of the splits and said one of our miles was 7:48!  I have a 5 mile run planned for today.

Waitin’ for the weekend.

I know I shouldn’t wish time away, but I can’t help it!  I have the weekend on my mind.  Especially because it is already Wednesday!
Waitin’ for the weekend on a Wednesday while eating a waffle…wow!
I had a Kashi waffle with some Maranatha peanut butter and a fruit salad that contained pineapple, plum and banana.  I used my waffle to scoop up some of the fruit…mmm!
I also picked up an iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts.  Normally I get a small but today I went for the medium.  I’m a risk taker, I know.  And after reading this article on the 25 best nutrition secrest on Yahoo, where the #1 secret was:
1. Drink a second cup of coffee. It might lower your risk of adult-onset diabetes, according to a study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
I didn’t feel so bad about doing it.  It says it might lower your risk but what the heck.  If it makes me feel like I’m doing something that’s good for me then even better!
