Leah Grace was born on Thursday, January 19th. And on that day I became an aunt <3
It’s amazing how quickly you can love someone you just met. While I was waiting with my parents and my brother-in-laws parents, we received a text from my brother-in-law. “She is perfect”. And in that moment our lives changed forever.
When we were allowed to go see her I felt nervous. I was about to meet my niece. Within moments I would suddenly have unspoken expectations to live up to. And as I saw her my heart ached. How amazing to finally see the little beauty that we had been waiting for for so long. As I watched her sleep I imagined all the memories we’d create and the stories we’d share. And I hoped that whenever she needs me I will be there.
